"My hospitality career has been defined by a number of experiences that have provided me with a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in such a highly demanding yet incredibly satisfying environment. I have had the privilege to work at some of the finest private clubs in the United States while working alongside numerous developers, members, committees and boards who had a shared vision of success. In my last private club role, I helped to shape a golf and country club division for a national luxury homebuilder. In my role as Senior Vice President, I was responsible for leading a talented team of executives who managed 11 private clubs with total operating revenue in excess of $50M and Membership Dues Income of $29M+. What defined our achievements was instilling a collaborative environment that fostered teamwork and professional growth, solid people management, unwavering systems and standards, and an understanding that what we were building was more than a private country club...it was a ""lifestyle"". My passion for the club business comes from a deep understanding of relationships and the importance of listening and learning from our membership and staff. From member and family programming to the food and beverage offering it is my first priority to take the time to truly understand the wants and needs of the membership so that a comprehensive plan can be developed and used as a roadmap for all involved. Given my diverse background, I have firsthand knowledge and experience working in all areas of private club operations. My love for the golf and country club environment has been developed over many years working with some of the industry’s most respected visionaries. I spent a good deal of my career working for ClubCorp learning from Robert Dedman Sr. the importance of each and every member and our impact on the lives of their family. I always served in a regional capacity overseeing multiple private clubs and enjoyed moving around to a number of cities/states since my expertise was in being able to see the “bigger picture” and turnaround situations. During these formative years I was exposed to a deeper understanding of Membership Sales, Spa & Fitness trends and Food & Beverage offerings that ranged from fine dining to bistro and poolside casual. I have been presented with many challenging opportunities in my career and have always embraced them with singularly focused energy and commitment. My resort background stretches from standalone island destinations to working for one of my favorite mentors, Eric Hilton while overseeing three international properties focused on our sales and marketing efforts. My Resort Operations role as Regional Vice President of Operations has allowed me the privilege of delivering memorable guest experiences through comprehensive strategic planning efforts, feedback and metric analysis while developing leaders that understand and can deliver upon our collective vision. Currently at the Seabrook Island Club I have been entrusted to lead a team of professionals while we deliver ""elevated experiences"" to a membership of 4,500 + across world-class amenities that include 2 Championship Golf Courses, an award winning Racquet Sports Complex, 28 horse equestrian center, 550 seat Beach Club, ""Members Only"" Ocean Terrace and 4 distinct Food & Beverage outlets." CURRENTLY: GENERAL MANAGER / COO, SEABROOK ISLAND CLUB
