Upon graduating from THE UofSC with a hospitality degree, I started the journey as a Dining Room Manager at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC. At MPCC, I grew through the ranks all the way up to the position of AGM. At Myers Park, I had the privilege of working with two distinctly different GMs. Both are successful individuals with differing styles of management and mentorship. Learning the differences was perhaps my most beneficial experience. I am proud to be one of the many who benefited from working in the Kamal Sakakini realm of club management! My first GM job was at Cape Fear Country Club in Wilmington, NC, followed by the COO position at Governors Club in Chapel Hill, NC, and then Bent Tree Country Club in Dallas, TX. Currently, I hold the position of COO at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC. I have been honored to have maintained CMAA membership and participation since my school days and my membership through the Student Chapter. I have earned the designations of CCM, CCE, Honors Society, and CMAA Fellow. Throughout my career, I have learned extensively from people I have worked with at all levels. My passion is to pass it forward so that we can all continue to learn and grow. I view mentorship as a friendly and mutual relationship where both parties share the giving and the learning.
