Brief Job Description:
Our internship program will center around each area of our Food and Beverage department. You will have hands on training to be a busser, server (banquet & dining room), food runner, bar back, and bartender. This will be your "bread and butter" during your internship at the Club. This fast-paced environment will show you what it is really like to be in the hospitality field.

Along with our Food and Beverage department, you will spend time in each of these additional areas. Up to three areas will be included in your Internship rotation:

  • Pool & Youth
  • Halfway Houses
  • Golf
  • Membership & Marketing
  • Reception
  • Meeting & Event Planning
  • Back of the House/Culinary Team
  • Tennis
  • Fitness

Qualifications: 
Current student with major/minor focused on Club Management/Hospitality.

Internship Details:
Level I Intern
This individual will have little to no previous food and beverage experience. This would be an opportunity to learn from the ground up about Clubs and hospitality. We would expect that this individual would be open to all challenges and ready to learn!  Most of the summer would include work in banquets, the dining room and outside at the pool. Training will be provided for each task assigned.

Level II Intern
This position would be for someone who has some experience with food and beverage. While our Level I interns will work from the ground up, our Level II intern's should be ready for more detailed work.  Areas of work will include all food and beverage outlets including the Men's 19th hole, The Bunker Café, and more one-on-one work with operations managers. The goal would be to fine tune your F&B skills and learn more about leadership. This level of internship will enable you to have more exposure to planning and executing the day to day operations while still working within those areas.

Level III Intern
A Level III intern would be for an individual that is in their junior or senior year of school. They should have already completed at least one other internship and be ready to take on a leadership role within the Club. This individual would be one of our Pool Supervisors for Food and Beverage. They would oversee staffing, scheduling, handling day to day pool operations, perform opening/closing duties at the Pool, attend management meetings, and obtain a full grasp on the financial aspects of Club business.

Other Benefits: 
North Ridge Country Club will base your hourly wage on past experience and Level of internship. We will also provide most uniform pieces at no charge.  Each position offers a different pay scale, so please, do not share or discuss pay with your coworkers. We offer lunch and dinner here at North Ridge CC for those individuals who are scheduled to work. Please plan to come in a little early to work if you plan to eat prior to starting your shift. Based on the nature of your position, breaks may be given throughout the day, this will be up to the discretion of your supervisor.  We host Employee Outings and events throughout the year, as a member of the North Ridge CC team, you will be invited to partake in those events.
