Carolinas Chapter Announces New Partnership with Gordon Food Service

Charlotte, NC – The Carolinas Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America is pleased to announce the addition of Gordon Food Service as a Partner in the Carolinas Sponsorship Program. This partnership represents a one-year, $2,500 commitment by Gordon Food Service to support the Carolinas Chapter and the Carolinas Club Foundation (CCF) in its efforts to deliver outstanding education, networking opportunities and services to its members.

Gordon Food Service was founded in 1897 and is the largest privately held, family-managed broadline foodservice distributor in North America, and growing, as Gordon Food Service will soon be opening a new distribution center in the Charlotte/Kannapolis area.

"Gordon Food Service is very excited to be placing our roots in the Carolinas and to bring our family values and work ethic to the area,” said Patrick Mulkey, Director of Commercial Sales. “We will be shipping from our facility beginning this spring, and will be servicing both North and South Carolina customers. The Gordon family has been in the foodservice business for more than a hundred years and we believe our way of doing business will align well with the Carolinas Chapter."

Gordon Food Service has already exhibited such alignment, as they donated product to the Chef of the Carolinas Student Fundraising Event in November. “We appreciate Gordon Food Service’s immediate outreach and support as they look to grow their roots in the Carolinas,” said David Dew, CCM, CCE, Carolinas Chapter President. “As an organization that is also steeped in values and tradition, we look forward to working with Gordon Food Service on Chapter and industry initiatives.”

Chapter members can connect with Patrick locally at [email protected] and/or learn more about the company virtually at www.gfs.com.
