Member-owned and founded in 1924, Florence Country Club is Florence's only private country club. We are a full-service facility offering both member dining and private event space.  The 18-hole course was built in the "Donald Ross" style, using the natural contours of the small 77-acre site. The club has 8 tennis courts, state of the art fitness room and 2 swimming pools.

This is an exciting time to join the Food & Beverage Team at FCC. State of the Art Golf Teaching Facility, golf course and tennis court facility renovations/upgrades have been recently completed.  Florence Country Club is a frequent stop for many of the State's top Junior Golf and Tennis Tournaments.

Job Summary:
Responsible for all food and beverage production and service for the club. Directly supervises Servers, Bartenders and Pool Attendants. Hires, trains and supervises subordinates and applies relevant marketing principles to assure that the wants and needs of club members and guests are consistently exceeded. We are all about a culture of integrity and teamwork. Reports directly to the General Manager.
  
Responsibilities:  

  • Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are implemented.
  • Inspects to ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are consistently met.
  • Assures that all standard operating procedures for sales and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
  • Plans staffing and scheduling procedures for front of house.
  • Conducts daily line-ups with FOH to inform them of shift details.
  • Ensures that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to, including wage and hour and federal, state and/or local laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages.
  • Researches new products and trends while monitoring the cost/profit benefits.
  • Maintains documentation of food and beverage departments.
  • Completes post shift reporting that all member charges are correctly done.
  • Assures that all pre and post shift side work is completed and that dining and service areas remain clean and organized.
  • Implements policies and procedures for food and beverage departments.
  • Responsible for scheduling all Front of the House and Snack Bar service staff.
  • Maintains proper level of Beverage Inventories through ordering and monthly accounting of Inventory Levels.
  • Monitors the ordering and receiving program for products and supplies to ensure proper quantity and price on all purchases.
  • Greets guests and oversees actual service on a routine basis.
  • Monitors and adjust dining room staffing for best member satisfaction while being fiscally responsible.  
  • Develop wine lists and bottle/glass wine sales promotion programs.
  • Develops on-going training programs for food production, service and bar production/service personnel.
  • Trains staff on all aspects of Jonas POS system.
  • Handles selected member and guest complaints.
  • Develops interesting ways of promoting club functions.
  • Assists in planning and implementing of procedures for special club events and banquet functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of hospitality experience in a private club or resort
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience required
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays  
Salary:
Salaried Position Commensurate with Experience; Full benefits packages to include: health insurance, dental insurance, PTO, 401k and educational allowance.
