General Summary:
This position creates a wonderful experience for our members and their guests daily by reaching the highest level of satisfaction with a focus on exceptional service, food, staff, and facilities. The F&B Manager assists the Clubhouse Manager in the daily operations for all food and beverage service at the club.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates daily with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure consistency and provide a quality clubhouse experience for all members and guests.
  • Ensures proper grooming and uniform standards are followed by all employees.
  • Ensures all employees address Members by their Last names only at all member interactions. 
  • Manages dining room, lounges, banquet functions, and bars to ensure proper room preparation.
  • Responsible for selection, development, leadership and retention of talented food and beverage staff.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes weekly schedules for staff and communicates changes as appropriate to all.
  • Plans, develops, and implements training programs, initiatives, and incentives.
  • Provides written directives for staff in opening, operating, and closing procedures.
  • Conducts daily pre-shift or pre-event meetings with all necessary staff.
  • Evaluates, supervises performance, and carries out disciplinary action as needed, in accordance with Club's policies and standards.
  • Develop and build relationships with kitchen management staff to attain consistent sanitation and quality standards.
  • Knowledgeable about all menu items, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
  • Preform table visits to all tables in a given shift to ensure quality and gain member feedback.
  • Assure the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all dining areas and outlets and ensures that proper steps are taken to resolve issues.
  • Maintains an active and accurate beer, wine and spirits list.
  • Provides insight and input in the BCC wine program.
  • Develops and maintains proper menu and pricing options in the POS system.
  • Reviews payroll and monitors labor expenses, including overtime. 
  • Holds staff and self accountable for completion and execution of daily tasks and operations.
  • Follows through on all tasks assigned by senior management.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Introductory Level course work for the Master Court of Sommeliers or equivalent, Certified or above preferred.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or related field strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in management, preferably in hospitality/upscale service industry required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, perform multiple tasks and prioritize needs in fast paced environment. 
  • Superior organization, leadership, and communication skills required.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
  • Proficiency in standard computer programs such as Word, Outlook, Adobe, Excel, as well the ability to learn and use Club-specific software programs (POS, inventory management, etc.) is required.

Physical Requirements:
Work conditions of this position will vary from an office to various outdoor settings around the Club property, and may require long periods of standing, lifting, carrying, and walking. This position is created and based on a 50 hour work week, there will be weeks when you will be scheduled to work more or less than 50 hours.  The employee should be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 30 pounds on a regular basis, as well as perform various functions that may require climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching.  

Other Requirements:
Final candidates will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
