Carolinas Chapter Announces Partner: Judd Brown Design and Jefferson Group Architects

Charlotte, NC – The Carolinas Chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is pleased to announce the addition of Judd Brown Design (JBD) and Jefferson Group Architects (JGA) as a Partner in the Carolinas Sponsorship Program. This partnership represents a one-year, $2,500 commitment by JBD and JGA to support the Carolinas Chapter and the Carolinas Club Foundation (CCF) in its efforts to deliver outstanding education, networking opportunities and services to its members.

Since 1983, Judd Brown Design, together with their sister-architectural-firm, Jefferson Group Architects, has successfully completed an impressive array of design projects for private clubs throughout the United States. JBD and JGA’s experienced staff of design professionals has completed a multitude of award-winning architectural and interior design projects including golf clubs, country clubs and city/dining clubs and are looking forward to bringing that talent to the Carolinas. “We at Judd Brown Designs and Jefferson Group Architects are thrilled to be partnering with the Carolinas Chapter of the CMAA. Len Terradista, our new representative in the area, and I hope to support the Chapter in any way we can,” said Peter Cafaro, Director of Marketing and Business Development. Len brings a wealth of club industry knowledge with him to the Carolinas. Prior to his move, he was at the New York Athletic Club for 28 years, 22 of which he was the General Manager.

The Chapter shares in the excitement and also looks forward to the support from such an esteemed group of professionals. “I have had the pleasure of numerous lengthy conversations with Peter Cafaro of Judd Brown Designs.  What a pro. If ever we have the opportunity to work with someone who understands the inner workings of the club business, it sure does make a difference,” shared Tom Noyes, CCM, CCE, Spring Island Club General Manager/COO. “Peter and his team have the ability to not only consult with us on space planning and design but also be so well versed in the best practices of private clubs. I consider Peter one of my go-to people when I have a situation which calls for some intelligent dialogue. I am glad to have him and his team as a Partner of the Carolinas.”
