Chef of the Carolinas: Student Fundraising Event
The Chapter’s Third Annual Chef of the Carolinas Student Fundraiser was held at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte on October 29, 2017. Students from three of our Student Chapters participated: East Carolina University, Johnson & Wales University, and the University of South Carolina.
Eight of the top chefs of Carolinas clubs competed this year, Our People’s
Choice winner was Jimmy Sexton of Gaston Country Club, and the “Top Chef” winner of Chef of the Carolinas was Justin Sing of Quail Hollow Club. Congratulations to both!
The real winners of this event, of course, are our students! Proceeds from the event will be split amongst our Student Chapters, based on participation and attendee support.
