Have you ever participated in a blind wine tasting where you were asked to identify the varietal, country of origin and relative age of the wine? The Court of Master Sommeliers teaches a method of identifying blind tasted wines, called the Deductive Method, which uses this format:

  •  Sight- Clarity, Color, Brightness, Gas, Sediment
  •  Nose- Clean/Faulty, Intensity, Age, Fruit Aromas, Non Fruit Aromas
  •  Palate- Fruit Flavors, Non Fruit Flavors, Body, Acid, Alcohol
  •  Conclusion- Old World/ New World, Warm Climate/ Cool Climate, Grape Variety, Country, Age  Range

Join us as Tim Smith leads us through the deductive method of identifying blind tasted wines and see how accurately you can identify wines.
