The community sits between Atlanta and Charlotte, which are both a 2.5 hour drive in either direction.

Position Summary:

The Food Service Manager will provide operational and strategic leadership for all club-based food and beverage activities at Savannah Lakes Village.  The successful candidate will be a dynamic, visible and an accessible leader for the staff and members alike.  The Food Service Manager will be responsible for creating and providing guidance, direction and supervision for all events and programs within the food services operations, ensuring that the overall F&B operational plan/budget, objectives, policies, programs and fiscal practices are implemented, administered and maintained.  Under the direct supervision of the Director of F&B and Golf Services, responsible for the leadership of all F&B programing and for promoting food and beverage events and the dissemination of hospitality, friendliness and goodwill among all members and guests.  The club seeks candidates with proven club-based food and beverage experience with the ability to enhance member and/or guest engagement with proven leadership abilities resulting in team development and the ability to drive a high-end service culture through ongoing training is necessary. 

This position reports directly to the Director of F&B and Golf Services and maintains close cooperative relationship with the leadership team.  The Food Service Manager provides direct supervision to: 
* Tara Clubhouse Manager/Chef
* Monticello Clubhouse Manager/Hospitality

Position Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability, skills and sufficient educational background, normally an associate degree in a related field, and/or actual experience to manage the food services operations.
  • Must have knowledge in food service (hospitality and culinary) and bar operations with two years or more management experience in either a restaurant, private club or hospitality environment.
  • Must have knowledge in food preparation, planning, food costing, menu development and business management.
  • Must have knowledge in the introduction, application and follow through of training programs for all levels of staff with proper supporting materials and continuous coaching to standards.
  • Must have a sincere desire to learn and grow professionally within the hospitality industry with the understanding that the job requires working a variety of shifts and hours including morning, afternoons, nights, weekend and holidays.
  • Must possess inter-personal skills that will make people feel welcome and reflect favorably on the organization.  This includes public speaking as well as human relations' abilities.
  • Requires management experience in planning, supervision, financial accountability and personnel.
  • Must have strong computer skills to include spreadsheet, word processing, point of sales systems, online reservation systems, online calendars, and email campaign programs.
  • Requires strong writing skills and ability to present information and/or training effectively in small group settings with customers, clients and employees.
  • Must have the ability to develop and promote creative events and programs.  
  • Must be pleasant, well organized, a team player and detail oriented.
