Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring efficient and smooth operation of food & beverage venues within the Greenville Country Club.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Designs floor plans and organizes/plans staffing as needed.
- Plans dining room set-ups based on anticipated needs and guest counts.
- Clearly communicates with members on dining options and executes to meet their needs.
- Performs a pre-shift line up with FOH to inform them of shift details.
- Inspects FOH employees to ensure cleanliness and uniform appearance.
- Greets and seats members and guests.
- Receives and resolves complaints regarding dining room food and/or service.
- Serves as a liaison between dining room and kitchen staff.
- Assists in hiring, training, and retention of dining room staff.
- Able to lead staff through various types of service and meal types (casual, formal, buffet, etc.).
- Completes post-shift reporting and collects and analyzes server POS tickets.
- Confirms time, attendance, and hours worked for dining room employees.
- Understands and produces the necessary daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Assures all pre and post-shift side work is completed and that dining and service areas. remain clean and organized throughout the meal period.
- Trains staff on all aspects of POS system.
- Assures the dining room and other areas of the club are secure at the end of the shift.
- Maintains an inventory of service utensils, equipment, china, glass and silver and ensures they are properly stored and accounted for.
- Monitors and adjusts dining room staffing for best member satisfaction while being fiscally responsible.
- Assists in scheduling dining room staff.
- Assists with liquor, beer and wine inventory and ordering.
- Coaches staff on Club policies and documents as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but will accept equivalent years of relevant work
experience; - 3-5 years of Food and Beverage experience;
- Minimum of one (1) of management experience;
- 1-2 years of Food & Beverage supervisory experience;
- Private club experience highly preferred.

- Follows all food & beverage health safety guidelines and alcohol service protocols.
- ServSafe certified.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Must be able to move about the dining room to service guests
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional pushing and pulling of items up to 50 lbs.
